I was impressed with you as a candidate and am more impressed with you as a Congressman. Many years ago, I followed another NC Congressman whom I admired (Alex McMillan) start off just like this and gave it up after one term due to disillusion with the chaos that is DC politics. I pray this doesn't happen to you. American needs leaders just like you.

So happy for you and your family, so proud of your military and congressional services, so hopeful for all of us now that you're representing us, so hopeful for our country in these divided times. Thank you.

As a vet, I'm thrilled to have someone who has walked in the shoes of both enlisted and commissioned ranks, and who has more than a couple of brain cells to rub together helping plan the future of our armed services. Good luck in what I'm sure will be a pressure-cooker of an assignment. I hope the other is an easier one!

Mine was Parris Island. 30 years later I'm a lieutenant colonel and for the first time in my life I have a Congressmen who is a veteran AND a Democrat representing me in the House. Well done, Mr. Jackson! Thank you for the great update and CONGRATULATIONS on the committee assignment.

From the start of your campaign (walking door to door) I knew you would be a different candidate and now member of Congress. Having moved here from CA, with so many great reps over the years, I’m so proud to call you my NC congressional representative. I thoroughly enjoy reading your updates which clearly come from your heart, and not a political machine.
