Jeff, thank you for working hard to reduce this epidemic, and also to show that the two sides really can work together sometimes. Finding points of agreement is really important, especially since there are so many things both sides disagree (vehemently) on! Sometimes common sense really continues to be common sense!

Somehow, Jeff, you send me your newsletter when I feel the most disturbed about news from D.C. It's not only an educational lift but a mental/emotional lift. A while back you wrote about how important it was to raise the bar for our elected officials and I agree. You reach my bar! Thanks for all that you do.

I am finally seeing the benefit(s) of the GOP crowding you out of DC - fights such as this prove your worth on many fronts -forming non-partisan teams, explaining to the public what the problem is and how you plan to solve it and being firm on making the solution. Nice job - let DC mar themselves down in BS - NC's on a roll! Thank you. And, Avery looks to be a natural!

I will share your comment with AG Jackson to show that you might be insinuating this response is coming from him, not some imposter!! Using his picture, for instance, with your name of "Quick Update" is misleading, and I am sure he would want to know that. I do not need referrals to any shady money-making outfit!

Thanks, Jeff, for both fighting money laundering in the fentanyl trade, and for the lawsuit to restore AmeriCorps. FYI a home rebuilding non-profit I know personally here in WNC had plans to deploy several new AmeriCorps volunteers to rebuild homes devastated by Helene. AmeriCorps was terminated; they did not get their volunteers this spring. This organization just hired a new team leader who was leading a crew of AmeriCorps volunteers rebuilding homes damaged by this winter's wildfires near LA. That crew all lost their jobs within the past month, when AmeriCorps was terminated. We look forward to how this lawsuit will play out, knowing communities across the country have lost critical services by very affordable workers, due to the termination of AmeriCorps.

Great work! Glad your efforts are successfully bi-partisan. So important. I lost my son in law to fentanyl.

I normally support you eagerly - you do great work. But I read something between the lines here, and that is trying to ask WeChat to somehow observe or moderate their chat service. Such observation and moderation is impossible as long as end-to-end encryption is possible - and E2E encryption is *the* fundamental way to avoid malicious governments spying on citizens and potentially giving them repercussions.

I completely get wanting to stop the fentanyl trade, and money laundering - but asking communications services to explicitly be insecure and 'crackable' isn't the way - especially when governments that monitor and rebuke their citizens are on the rise.
